I was born in Sarasota, Florida in 1989. The son of two painters: Rona Lee Glasser (1948-2014) and John Douglas Saucier.
I graduated from Hampshire College in 2011 and did two semesters of my MFA at Maine College of Art in 2015.
My paintings initially emphasize speed. I empty my unconscious and allow my thoughts to manifest onto the picture plane.
Time, the fourth dimension, is a key ingredient in my work. Moving from fast to slow, abstract to representational, and back again.
The work is put aside to cool. Forms begin to appear.
The end result stands alone. An image forged by chance, a postcard from the abyss...
